About

My name is Luke Goodwin. Leading up to my 50th birthday, I started thinking about what I wanted to do with my health.

Since my 20s I’ve had chronic gut issues, which has caused me to try a lot of different diets to figure it out. It seems I passed the gut problems to my eldest son, who has Crohn’s disease.

He got really bad and was down to 112 pounds at 6’3”. It was scary. But, he slowly built up his health with a carnivore diet. I had nudged him in that direction finding relief from gut issues with a mostly carb-free diet, while dabbling in keto and slow carb.

My son took it to the next level. Once he found success with carnivore I decided to jump on board too. This was the first time in a long time I was able to get rid of my perma-bloat. I lost about 20 pounds, and felt pretty good. That’s my base diet. I just do little experiments here and there to see if there are other foods that work for me.

I’m not super dogmatic about it, but it helps to have a foundation.
